Nice Collective

The Plastiki is a 60-foot catamaran sailboat made out of 12,500 reclaimed plastic bottles that traveled from San Francisco to the coast of Australia. Nice Collective produced the majority of the clothing and accessories for the crew and boat. I was in charge of making patterns, cutting fabric, and sewing the majority of the accessories, equipment and clothing.  That included distressed leather straps; belts with hooks and grommets; using repurposed tents to make curtains, pillows and blankets; flags with silver foil ironed on; bags for the crew; and attaching ribbing to face mask and hoodies.
